Gen Con Returns to Indianapolis July 30 – August 2, 2020

The Home of Tabletop Gaming

Since 1968, we’ve gathered people together to play games. From a small group of friends in a Lake Geneva basement to the thousands of gamers who flock to Indianapolis each year, Gen Con will always be the home of tabletop gaming. Gen Con is a yearly gaming convention that brings together tabletop gamers from all over the globe — in 2019, nearly 70,000 people attended the show, making us one of the largest tabletop and hobby gaming conventions in the world!

For four days in August, we take over the Indiana Convention Center, the entire field of Lucas Oil Stadium (home of the Colts), and several downtown hotels to spend time with our favorite people and play games. We host a wide range of gaming events — whether you're into roleplaying games (like Dungeons & Dragons or Pathfinder), collectible card games (like Pokemon Trading Card Game or Magic: The Gathering), or board games (like Catan or Pandemic), there is something for you to enjoy! With over 20,000 events running 24 hours a day, you can play old favorites and discover your new go-to for game night. Badges for Gen Con 2020 go on sale January 26 — hope to see you in Indy!
